09/19/15 Intramural 2015: #DoingGreatAt78

A day back at my alma mater equalled a decade-full of nostalgic memories. For almost 12 years, Holy Spirit Academy of Malolos has been my second home and whenever I get a chance to go back, I never think twice.

This September 18 and 19, the Intramural 2015 was held with the theme, "#DoingGreatAt78." I only went on the 19th since I didn't have classes, and to my luck, the most awaited cheerdance competition was held on that day. I was once a cheerdancer, too, and I could feel that the tension between the different year levels were tough on that day. Since it is a competition, all of them were aiming for the champion title and they must prove it by cheering and dancing. Congratulations to the champions this year, Seniors! And congratulations also to the Juniors for being the runner-ups, to the Freshies for  garnering the third place and to the Sophies for garnering the fourth place. Truly, a job well done to all of you. Here are a few pictures of the cheerdance competition:

Freshies
Their theme was military. I liked their concept since it was really timely because of the SAF 44 incident.

Their costumes for the boys and the girls were identical, just like the ones in the military which are camouflage.

Sophies
Their theme was New York.

For their costumes, they truly looked like New Yorkers who lived in the concrete jungle where dreams are made of.

 Juniors
Their theme was carnival and it was cute how they portrayed it because it felt like an instant carnival was inside the school.

Their costumes were my favorite among the bunch. They looked like real carnival performers.

Seniors
Their theme was pirates. Among the themes this year, this was my favorite because pirates are fierce and unstoppable.

Here are the costumes of the Seniors.

After the cheerdance competition, I rushed to the gym with my friends to watch and to cheer for my batch as they go head-to-head with this year's Seniors in a game of basketball. I loved how our team's jersey was designed because it says, "Golden Batch" in front of it. Of course, our players won! Congratulations, Golden Batch!

But all of these, for me, were just the cherries-on-top of the Intramural. What I really came for this Intramural are my friends and my past teachers. I spent the day with Kindness, my classmates in Senior year, and words could not express how happy I always am when I'm with them. Their company is always filled with joys and laughs. I do hope that our friendship will always be the same until we grow of age.
