Pizzookie a la Mode Recipe

On September 20, we had our house blessing at Katipunan so my mom assigned me with the desserts. I made two desserts, first was the pizzookie a la mode (cookie pizza with ice cream; on the left side of the picture) and the second was the mocha coffee jelly (on the right side of the picture.) Here is the recipe of the pizzookie a la mode, I found the recipe at allrecipes.com and made a little twist to it.

Pizzookie a la Mode

makes 16 slices

2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 325ºF or 165ºC.
2. Grease pie plate or line with parchment paper.
3. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
4. In a medium bowl, cream together melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended.
5. Beat in vanilla, egg and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon.
6. Place the whole cookie dough onto the pie plate, like a pizza. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until the edge is lightly toasted.
7. Cool for a few minutes and top with vanilla ice cream.
